Intuit support was a joke November 18, 2008 Kumoito (USA) I had problems setting up the windows version of this program. When I called support, all the guy wanted to do was sell me an extra support plan. He wasn't even interested in hearing my question. The program is easy to use, but is very limited in functions. Also, no multiple currencies: something I need. MYOB supports multiple currencies but that program is a huge headache. While the Windows version of Quickbooks is a really solid program, the Mac version is week. I recommend checking the apple download page. There are many free or extremely cheap programs with similar programs to this quickbooks.
Quickbooks Mac compared to Quickbooks PC January 9, 2007 NetGuru (Southern Californa) As a relatively new Mac user, I needed to convert my existing Quickbooks files into the Mac version. Although it's a couple years old, it meets all of my needs. It converted the PC file with no trouble at all, but it did not convert my custom forms. The PC version has a layout editor for forms and the Mac version does not seem to have that functionality, so I have to do that externally. All in all, I am happy with the product--just wish they were the same feature for feature.
Quickbooks Mac to the rescue. January 9, 2007 Kariann Price Designs (Deep River, CT) My business is small and catching up very quick with the bookkeeping since I received my QB MAC software. I love how it integrates all info into various reports. What an immediate eye opener to see my expenses vs my income! It was easy to transfer all info from my pc to my Mac with this. It's pretty intuitive. Just took a little getting used to, but am up & running.
dont waste your money December 19, 2005 Jon A. Baker (NC) Do not get taken with this lousy product. the payroll portion of this is made by a different company and will cost you 19.99 a month after the 3 month trial period is up. but then it will not open unless you have file-vault turned off! I would own a PC instead of a Mac if I wanted to operate without file-vault!! the devil is in the details...it would be nice if all the advertising that they do to sell this, that they would be honest and upfront about it not working on MAC.
QuickBooks Pro 2005 minimizes chaos November 5, 2005 Debra D. Black (Powell, WY USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Qbks really made my bookkeeping easy. The step-by-step set up is easy to follow. After setting things up I found it really easy to stay on top of my bookkeeping.
